We are happy to premiere the video for ‘Can’t Get Enough,’ the latest single off of Buffalo, NY’s Wild Once upcoming debut full length, “The Place You Are Meant To Be Lost,” which will be out October 27th (pre-order).

“This was one of the first songs we wrote while taking a break from seeing each other during the pandemic,” says vocalist/guitarist Tom Mayer. “Matt had been sending me random drum grooves and I digitally manipulated one of them into a loop and demoed this song over it. I liked writing that way so much that we ended up doing it for a few other songs on the record as well. ”

The video was directed, filmed and edited by David Courtney in Buffalo, NY with special Gguests Chelsea McCann and Lindsey Black.

“We’ve been friends with Dave for a really long time. He travels with the NHL hockey team, the Florida Panthers,” continues Tom. “They were coming to town for a matinee game against the Buffalo Sabres. Their flight got in pretty late the night before the game, so our window to make the video was overnight only. We ended up shooting the video from midnight to 5 AM. Our songs are mostly pretty melancholy and sad, so we have tried to offset that by making ridiculous, silly music videos. We quickly worked off a story board the best we could and Dave edited what we had. It was exhausting, but we had a ton of fun as usual. ”

Recorded in late 2022 at GCR Audio with Jay Zubricky (Every Time I Die, Beach Slang, Pentimento), “The Place You Are Meant To Be Lost” sees Wild Once take on a more traditional tracking approach, recording the instruments individually, instead of live off the floor like on their previous EPs. This is the group’s most finely massaged batch of songs to date, with extra time spent finding the right sounds to convey the raw emotion that each piece deserves. Those familiar with the band can expect a refined, panoramic output.

“The Place You Are Meant To Be Lost” is a follow up to previous 5 song EPs “Perennials” (2019) and “We Did It Anyway” (2020). The two EPs were released as one LP in late 2020. The band finalized their lineup in 2018 after forming from the ashes of Rust Belt Lights, As Summer Dies, and Jealous Girls. The band consists of Tom Mayer (guitar, vocals), Anthony Granica (guitar), Jay Fritzius (bass), and Matt Bratcher (drums).
