Spray Paint The Dog
7.5
Culture Abuse is a band from the Bay Area who have just released a new 7”, which is out now on 6131 Records. It’s called “Spray Paint The Dog” and it comes with two songs that linger between punk, hardcore and psychedelic rock, sounding not unlike Ceremony wanting to jumpstart a party. But they could just as well serve as the soundtrack to your next fistfight. Whichever way you choose to look at them, both “Nicotine” and “Perfect Light” are abrasive, energetic as hell, constantly bordering on chaotic and poppy all at once.
These guys have a full-length coming out later this year and if they can keep this up for a whole album, then we should be in for one hell of a treat!
