As Dead to Me continue to work on a forthcoming new album with Chris Dugan (Green Day, Iggy Pop), they’ve released another standalone single called “Would It Kill You?,” with a video premiering today. This track shows a completely different side of the Northern California band, serving as a transitional turning point for the continuously evolving band. Having survived some of the darkest lows any person can endure, the latest sounds coming from Dead to Me tell the story of a band with an entirely new lease on life.
“This song is about the confusion that arises from the inherent trade off between consumer convenience and emotional detachment,” explains vocalist/bassist Tyson Annicharico. “The expectation of convenience(for products/services, etc.) carries over to our emotional and personal lives as well. We not only expect to be told what to buy, but more importantly how to feel and think. You even expect me to tell you what this song is about and what it means to you, admit it.”
