Midwest punks The Copyrights have announced that they’ll follow their 2021 album Alone In A Dome with a new EP, New Ghosts, on October 18 via Fat Wreck Chords. Bassist/singer Adam Fletcher says:
"We laid down these tracks at Uptone Recorders in Tacoma. The studio’s packed with amazing vintage gear. We used Hal Blaine’s old drum kit, one of the original Motown mixing consoles, and some other wild instruments. Most of it was recorded live, with all of us playing together in the same room. Luke did the mix and mastering at his home studio. There’s even a bit of kraut rock influence in a couple of the songs. We’re stoked with how they turned out and can’t wait for everyone to hear them!"
The first single is “In There Somewhere,” a power-poppy punk song with a few bells and whistles that change it up from straight-up punk fare. Check it out below.
