On their fifth album, Stick To Your Guns give it their all... they relentlessly melodic sling riffs at your face before shredding like crazy. Meanwhile the drums (which are a little too loud in the mix for my taste) are set on ‘pummel’ and they finish things off with screamed verses, catchy choruses and plenty of gang vocals. Think of a fiercer Ignite with some metallic crunch if you will.

It’s a shame that they forgot one thing… diversity. All of the songs on “Disobedient” race by in one big blur and it’s incredibly hard to tell the difference between them. The guest appearances by Terror’s Scott Vogel, Rotting Out’s Walter Delgado and H2O’s Toby Morse are nice touches, but do little in the way of adding some variety. Overall, everything on here sounds the same and the fact that it’s all a little too hyper for me doesn’t exactly help things either.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
