When Kevin Seconds isn't busy with 7 Seconds, his solo albums or his new hardcore project Aim Higher, he is busy living life in Sacramento, California. Read on to see what he had to tell us about his hometown.

 

PRT: What made you first fall in love with the city?

Kevin: Trees, big Victorian house and a great arts and music community.

 

PRT: If you had to come up with a marketing slogan for the city, what would it be?

Kevin: 'Sacramento: Come Get Allergies!'

 

PRT: Best place to play?

Kevin: Fox & Goose.

 

PRT: Best place to go for a late night drink after the show?

Kevin: I don't drink alcohol and since our coffee joints all close by 11pm, I'm basically screwed.

 

PRT: Best place to go for a late night snack after the drink after the show?

Kevin: Mel's Diner.

 

PRT: Best touristy thing to do in the city?

Walk past serial killer Dorothy Puentes' old house.

 

PRT: Best hidden spot in the city?

Kevin: My basement which was formerly a legendary underground punk rock venue.

 

PRT: One thing you would like to see changed in the city?

Kevin: More small, independent businesses and less bars.

 

PRT: What's your best memory about the city?

Kevin: Meeting my wife Allyson here in 1992.

 

PRT: Where in the city did you get your heart broken?

Kevin: Midtown Sacramento when the entitled out of town yuppies took over.

 

PRT: Is there a historical fact about your city that makes you chuckle?

Kevin:  Mark Twain, the Cramps and Tom Hanks all lived here.

 

PRT: Favorite song about your city you'd like to share, either yours or someone else's?

Kevin: Mine. It's called Love Or Hate.
