All Hope Remains’ new album ‘Find My Way’ packs 10 tracks of fast-paced melodic punk rock with an equal amount of melodic hooks and metallic influences. An Aussie version of Strung Out seems to be what they are going for. Especially drummer Tony Maloney is going off like a complete madman, even to the point of drowning out the rest of the band with incessant rapid-fire blasts. Unfortunately, try as I might, I couldn’t get into the music because of the vocals, which sound pinched, veering all over the place and at times bordering on off-key.

These guys obviously have some serious technical chops. If they could just reel it in and dial it down, this could be a wholly different review. But for now, the album title unfortunately makes a bit too much sense.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
