What started out as a solo project by Angela Plake, turned into a full band kinda affair after moving to Nashville where she was joined by guitarist Dan Bishop and drummer Charles Miller. The three of them have now recorded their debut album, “Of Life”.

Sounding not unlike a “Control” era Pedro The Lion with swooning, wistful female vocals, Bandit churn out nine songs, including a surprising piano-driven cover of The Pixies’ “Where Is My Mind”. When they are not busy paying tribute to Frank Black & co, Bandit deal in gently trickling songs like “Forgetting Days” as well as more rocking, distorted tunes such as “Dragon”. Whichever way they choose to travel down, their material always sounds pretty intriguing. Take some time out of your day to sit back and relax while listening to “Of Life”… you won’t regret it.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
