Apart from learning kids how to count to three with their EPs (“One”, “Two” and now “Three”), Black God is also really, really good at writing short blasts of hardcore punk. Their latest EP offers yet again six songs that are as urgent as they are melodic. Rob Pennington’s howling vocals go well with the relatively simple yet highly effective riffs. It’s actually pretty damn addictive!

Together these guys have over 20 years of experience from spending time in other Louisville, KY acts such as Young Widows, Coliseum and Black Cross and they show no signs of slowing down with Black God. See you in 2014 for “Four”?

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
