Having only dropped their debut full-length at the beginning of the year, Hell Or Highwater is already back at it with a new 5-song EP. That’s five more songs of the band’s modern brand of hard rock, arena rock or whatever you want to call it that wouldn’t have looked out of place on the band’s debut.

I have the hardest time deciding if this band around Atreyu’s Brandon Saller sounds more like Bon Jovi or Avenged Sevenfold and am leaning more towards Avenged Sevenfold. It’s not that they are botching it up, it’s just that this kind of cockrock does absolutely nothing for me. The constant howling vocals, the cheesy guitar solos,… it’s all wasted on me.
