Washington, DC based melodic punks Celebration Summer are back with a new 4-song EP, ‘A Little Less Numb,’ out now on Den Of Wax. Produced and recorded by J. Robbins at his Magpie Cage Studios, these four songs are the perfect follow-up to the band’s 2022 debut album ‘Patience In Presence.’ It’s everything you’ve come to expect from these guys, but even more nuanced and refined and more accessible at the same time. Is that J. Robbins’ influence? Or has the band simply amped up their songwriting skills? Probably a bit of both.

If you are a fan of Dischord bands like Dag Nasty and Rites Of Spring or dig the gruffer punk sounds of Hot Water Music and Leatherface, then this one is right up your alley. The only downside? It’s a cliché, but it’s true: four songs just isn’t enough. I need more Celebration Summer!

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
