With this one you get maximum bounce for your bucks. As soon as the title track bursts out of the speakers, you can make it a game to try and not tap your feet. Trust me, you won’t last long. Plus you get some life lessons presented to you by vocalist Josh Kelting in way wittier fashion than anything that has ever come out of Dr Phil’s mouth (‘when the shit keeps piling up, get a shovel’).

Produced by Jay Maas, everything sounds all nice and crunchy while keeping the band’s dirty rumbling sound intact. As a matter of fact, things probably sound even grittier than on “Pendulum Swings”. Josh’s vocals are more maniacal this time around with guitarist Zach Dear following suit slinging some badass riffs your way. Meanwhile the drums are being used as a means to hand you the beating of a lifetime.

These guys crank out some quality hardcore tunes on “Pretty Low” and they sound like they literally hate everything and everyone, making this the perfect soundtrack for a Monday morning. And well, for pretty much the rest of the week as well.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
