The pop-punks with a sense of humor are back at it with their fifth album. Produced by Kurt Ballou, Four Year Strong’s self-titled album comes with a nice raw sheen that serves as a nice break from the over-produced sounds of other recent pop-punk releases.

Known for using movie quotes as song titles and goofy artwork, it would be easy to write them off as a joke band. But Four Your Strong have always packed some serious songwriting chops and it’s nice to see they didn’t let them go to waste on their new album. If you were still looking for some heavy riffs, feelgood vibes and singalong parts to brighten up your summer, then Four Year Strong have just the album for you.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
