Austin, Texas based band Gentlemen Rogues recently released their debut full-length ‘Surface Noise,’ out now on Double Helix Records, and it’s a real doozy. Influenced by the likes of the Replacements, Superdrag, Jawbreaker and other sources of greatness, Gentlemen Rogues dish out ten songs worth of guitar pop that are as raucous as they are poppy.

It’s not quite punk rock, strictly power pop or straight up rock ‘n roll, yet at the same time it’s all of that. If that makes any sense? Not sure, but trust me… Gentlemen Rogues have kept us waiting for a full-length for quite some time, but with cuts like opening track ‘Do The Resurrection!’, ‘Involuntary Solitary’ and ‘Never The Bride’, it was well worth the wait. Hook-filled, propulsive and loud, Gentlemen Rogues will are here to improve your day.

Surface Noise track list:

  1. Do the Resurrection!
  2. Involuntary Solitary
  3. All Out Crush

  5. Days in the Dayroom

  9. Half Empty, Half Fool
  10. 60’s Damage

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
