Gods of Mount Olympus is a piano-forward pop punk band. Featuring members from No Use For a Name and Unwritten Law, this punk rock super-group describes themselves as "Billy Joel on Speed," which is pretty close to how they sound. I prefer to think of them as "Joey Cape fronted Motion City Soundtrack" or "DragonForce of Quaaludes". No matter how you label it, this supergroup clocks in 19 minutes of fun, exciting music that makes you think about adding a piano to your next punk show.

I am not sure if this was a silly side project or a full-on musical production. Regardless of intentions, I am curious to see what Gods of Mount Olympus does in a live setting or with a full-length album. There was enough on their debut EP to place them on my radar for future endeavors.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
