It seems like someone forgot to tell the guys in Finland’s Part Time Killer that the nineties are over. Not that I’m complaining... there is no going wrong with solid fast and melodic skatepunk that sounds like it should have been on the Epitaph or Fat Wreck roster back in the day. And the songs that make up ‘The Fight’ are pretty friggin’ solid alright.

Think Bad Religion and Pennywise, throw in some No Fun At All and then add a bit of Millencolin. And just for the hell of it, some Good Riddance as well. These guys really do wear their influences on their sleeves. Cuts like opener ‘System Is Using You’, ‘Lake Of Fire’ and ‘Insane and Free’ might not be the most original songs you will hear this year, but seriously... any band that writes melodies like that is simply too good to be dismissed as some kind of copycat.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
