I don’t what happened to Rise Records but whereas they previously served as a sort of sewer that kept spewing out crappy screamo bands blessed with nothing but bad haircuts, they’ve been releasing a lot of great albums over the last year. Like Rescuer’s “With Time Comes The Comfort”.

This Florida-based band unleashes the kind of hardcore frenzy that Defeater and Verse are known for and mix it up with some more straight-up punkrock influences. Songs like “Shame” and “Birds Of Prey” are pure angst and are rife with emotion. For 27 minutes Rescuer hits you over the head with sick screams, solid riffs and pounding drums and for 27 minutes it feels pretty damn awesome!

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
