The closest I ever got to going to a show with my mom was when she dropped me off and made me promise not to drink too much. Belgium’s Sale Gosse took it a couple of steps further and started a band together. Featuring Agathe (the mom) on drums, Nino (the son) and the beautiful Randa on vocals and guitar, this trio likes to crank their amps up to 11 and blasts out bluesy rock ‘n roll that is as contagious as it is dirty.
“The First Dick I Ever Saw Was Iggy Pop’s” (apparently a true story) features five songs that range from the catchy “DIA” to the bluesy stomper that is “Boys” and much like Iggy Pop himself in his younger days, writhes all over the place. Original? Nah, not really. Fun? Hell yeah!
