‘Modify The Sacred’ is Seized Up’s second album. It finds the Santa Cruz, CA hardcore punk band doubling down on their blistering sound with a 10-song barrage of pummeling drums, pissed off riffs and vitriolic rage that finds the band dissecting subjects such as religion, self-medication and survival. With hardly any room left for melody, things get dark and tense pretty right off the bat.

Featuring members of BL’AST!, Good Riddance, The Distillers, and Fast Asleep, the band is no stranger to keeping things fast, loud and hard. And if you want to know how they have gelled together over the last couple of years, check out the re-recorded version of ‘Forum Of Decay’.

Is your boss pissing you off? Did the neighbor’s cat take a shit in your backyard? Blast ‘Modify The Sacred’ through your speakers and realize you are not the only one having a bad day.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
