Album Reviews
There’s something about New Jersey! I have no idea what exactly though. But as long as great bands keep popping out of that place like zits on the face of the average Panic At The Disco fan, I’m not gonna bitch about it. Latest one in line is an act called Static Radio NJ. Here’s a bunch of dudes that just released their debut full-length called “An Evening Of Bad Decisions” and it rocks from start to finish with enough grit to choke on. At their most angry, they sound not unlike Kid Dynamite (“Bothered”) but most of the time they’re doing the whole Lifetime-thing and I have to say it’s working for them. They’ve got the melodies, gruff vocals and loud bass lines down pat along with more sinceriity than you can shake a stick at. And that’s exactly why fans of The Lawrence Arms, The Bouncing Souls, The Loved Ones, Hot Water Music as well as the abovementioned acts should all embrace these guys. If not, it’s your loss and I can’t be held responsible for the consequences!
