Toxic Holocaust may have started as a one-man project by Joel Grind, but it has since blossomed into a healthy (hmm) full-fledged band. They like their metal thrashy and as a result end up sounding like a cross between Sodom, Destruction, Slayer and a fair shot of Motörhead (“Ready To Fight”).

“From The Ashes Of Nuclear Destruction” is comprised of rarities and demos and significantly reduces the amount of time needed to collect the band’s entire output. You get 22 songs of meat-and-potatoes type riffs, fast as fuck drums and Grind’s raspy voice…. It sure is a lot of fun even if 22 songs might be a bit much to take in all at once.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
