Wait, didn’t these Seattle punks release an EP like three months ago? Why, yes they did. It was called “Super Me” and to me, it was super. But seeing as we constantly come across new things in our everyday life that are annoying as shit, it wasn’t hard for Wimps to write a dozen new songs about a dozen new grievances. No wait, that’s not true… it’s ten new songs plus two recycled ones (“Couches” and “Take It As It Comes”).

Anyway, “Suitcase” sees this trio flexing their muscles and strutting their stuff while going off about it being too warm in the basement (“Basement”) or about forgetting to pack underwear and socks in the title track. Rachel Ratner still manages to find the right balance between sounding pissed off and bored, while Matt Nyce and Dave Ramm respectively provide perfectly fine bass lines and jangly riffs that are as basic as they are effective.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
