You Blew It! covered five songs off of Weezer’s first album and aptly titled the EP “You Blue It”. Ha! Now, you have to have some big balls to touch something that was near-perfect to begin with but at least there’s not a ukulele in sight here (yeah, I’m looking at you Uke-Hunt).

Other than the acoustic version of “Susanne”, these guys stuck pretty true to the originals… and why wouldn’t they? They change the vocal inflection here and there, elaborate on a solo but mostly these are pretty much the same songs. You could ask yourself what the whole point is if you’re just going to deliver faithful renditions of the originals but then you’d be one of those guys that’s always whining and that nobody wants to hang out with. I’m guessing they just love the original album a lot and when one of them came up with the whole “You Blue It” thing, it was a sealed deal. Oh, and kudos to them for staying away from the singles and going for ‘lesser known’ songs like “Only In Dreams” instead!

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
