Bad Nerves are a 5-piece Powerpop-RocknRoll band from Essex. The bastard child of a Ramones/Strokes one night stand, they play ferociously fast distorted pop songs, with melodies that hook so deep, even the most skilled lobotomist would struggle to scrape them out. As a follow up to their self-titled debut album (2020), they are now releasing a 10" live album: Alive in London. Today, the band releases the album's first single, Don't Stop (Live in London, 2022).
Bobby Nerves: “You just can’t beat the energy of a live record. My favourite Ramones record is probably It’s Alive. It’s pretty cool to have captured us at the arguable peak of this era of the band, on our first sold out headline tour.”
A sold out show which in fact was so sweaty, that during the show you can hear the venue getting hotter, quite literally building up to its boiling point.
“The recording gear blew up... It was probably the hottest show we’ve ever played so I’m not surprised. You couldn’t breathe in there. It’s a shame we didn’t capture the last part of the set but equally it’s a pretty cool story so we ain’t too bothered,” Bobby says.
'Alive In London' was recorded at the Sebright Arms on April 2nd 2022,during the band’s sold out “Apathy in the UK tour 2022" and then engineered and mixed by Mike Curtis and mastered by Christian Wright at Abbey Road studios.
Alive in London will be released on Suburban Records and will be available on 10” transparent magenta vinyl on April 7th 2023. The digital album follows two weeks later.
