Philadelphia emo-punk group, Brackish have released the first single from their upcoming 'Rear View' EP. 'Lay Down' is just one of three stellar tracks that were recorded by the bands drummer, Zach Miller, at Landmine Studios. The EP shows Brackish confident as ever and opening up an entirely new sonic landscape for the group.

Brackish is four friends who have been playing together since they were teenagers. Founded in 2015 by songwriter Connor Byrne and bassist Nick Rosica, the lineup as-of today has played together in iterations of bands before they could legally drive. Born from the idea that the music they grew up listening to didn’t need to be “revived,” Brackish delivers a nostalgic tone with lyrics and concepts around punk and hardcore that expands upon the sounds that inspired them. Their 2022 self-titled full length album, recorded by drummer Zach Miller and guitarist Tim Fitzpatrick, acted as a bookmark to end a formative phase and now they embark onto Rear View.

In these handful of songs you will hear pointed lyricism, imaginative structure, and emotive performances that demonstrates a concentration and honed sound that can only be brought with an expertise earned through experience. Written in summer of 2023, Rear View acts as a flagstaff for the direction the band seeks to move into looking forward.
