CIVIC shares new single 'Taken By Force'
Melbourne, Australia's Civic have released their latest single "Taken By Force," which is also the title track off the band's recently released sophomoric album.
The quintet's new album was produced by Radio Birdman frontman Rob Younger and "showcases their frenetic yet jangly melodic sound coupled with introspective lyrics, balancing between furious catharsis and unbridled fun". Their mishmash of 'punky indie pop & noisy garage rock', which the band itself describes as '1984 meets The Endless Summer', contains many references to the 'exciting past' of bands like The Stooges, Buzzcocks and The Undertones, but is also definitely two feet in the present with links to bands like Idles, Sleaford Mods, Viagra Boys, Fontaines D.C. & Shame.
