It has been a while since we heard any new tuneage from Chicago skatepunks Counterpunch. While we will have to wait a little bit longer for a new album, they will be releasing a 2-song 7“ in January.
"It's time to hit the reset button," says Eric Hausser when he looks at the hate and strife over religion, gender and sexuality. With their new songs Counterpunch write a commentary on the society around them. Their metal drenched Skate-Punk, inspired from the Fat Wreck era of modern punkrock had them tour around the world alongside some of the biggest names of the scene.
"We, the role" and "Handbook for the recently debriefed" are the first songs since the album "Bruisers" (2014). SBÄM Records (EU) and Thousand Island Records (USA) will release a limited 7-inch double single on January 29th.
