Buffalo, NY based hardcore band Spaced will release their new album, This Is All We Ever Get, on March 22nd via the iconic Revelation Records. Having already shared bouncy single “Landslide,” today Spaced unveil the powerful “Rat Race.” Groove-driven riffs move into trippy whirls, while pulsating drums plead for side-to-side mosh. Vocalist Lexi Reyngoudt roars through the “us against you” lyrics with distinct enunciation. The Alex Behrens directed video for the track finds Spaced giving a soul-stirring performance in black and white.

Speaking on the song, Reyngoudt states: “A track about not fitting into everyday life while simultaneously not caring about it. There will always be someone who tries to dictate how you live your life and will tell you what you’re doing ‘wrong.’ The best way to go about that? Tell them you don’t care and continue to be yourself.”

Spaced live up to their name, blending hardcore with out of this world sounds to create an explosive and hallucinogenic landscape. Originally formed in 2019, the band would burst onto the scene in 2021 with their four-song demo, followed by the 2022 compilation, Spaced Jams and a dual single in 2023, both on New Morality Zine. The band’s vitality and unique take on the genre caught the attention of long-standing home to hardcore Revelation Records, who announced the band’s signing in 2023. Working with Jay Zubricky (Mindforce, Terror) at GCR Audio in Buffalo, NY, Spaced knocked out recording This Is All We Ever Get over a few days in May 2023 and sent the album off for mastering with Will Killingsworth (Orchid) at Dead Air Studios. On the record, the band pulls from a wide range of influences, while still staying centered around individuality.

This Is All We Ever Get is available for preorder now through Revelation Records.
