Fiercely feminist and also just fierce as all hell, Colorado’s Cheap Perfume come out swinging on opening track ‘Put The Devil To Bed,’a scathing song about surviving sex assault and then keep the torch right next to the gasoline on ‘Time’s Up,’ a clear message to men whose responsibility it should be to stop rape and sexism, and ‘It’s OK To Punch Nazis,’ which is about... well, this one’s actually pretty self-explanatory.

Cheap Perfume is definitely a band with a message that deserves to be heard, but they are also a band with badass songs that range from the furious ‘Relapse’ to the power-pop of ‘Fauxminism’and the downright fun take on Joan Jett’s ‘Bad Reputation,’ which also happens to be one of the songs where the dual vocals really shine.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
