Featuring former and current members of Prevenge, Ifarm, Offside, Chilton and Answers, this Montreal-based hardcore punk outfit was originally named Chris Snelgrove & The Last Mile but has since been rechristened to The Last Mile. Not because Snelgrove is no longer involved with the project. He very much is as you will be quick to learn going into the band’s new 7”.
Recorded while on tour in France, ‘II’ comes with two prime slices of melodic hardcore punk that deal with getting so trapped in you own mind that you start to question everything and as a result, push away the people closest to you. Apparently not everyone though because first track ‘Acetylene’ features guest vocals by Brutal Youth’s Patty O’Lantern while original Comeback Kid vocalist Scott Wade pitches in on ‘Out Of The Woods’.
Two songs. That’s all we get here and if the idea was to leave us wanting more then... well, mission accomplished.
