The Complicators hail from the Bay Area in Northern California and dish out a dozen tracks worth of working-class punk on their self-titled full-length, with feet planted firmly in oi!, street punk and hardcore.
Yup, that’s twelve songs chock full of pummeling drums, riffs that you could break concrete slabs on and vocals so gruff that any other person would go see to the doctor. Throw in a ton of whoo’s and ah’s and you are looking at an albums that might not be the most original out there and can get a bit monotonous towards the end, but one that goes down remarkably well regardless. Definitely worth checking out if you are into Blitz, Bishops Green or sore throats.
Excited to catch the Complicators live? You’ll have to exercise some patience then. Since recording the album, two band members have moved to Pennsylvania and Australia, making weekend shows a tad more difficult.
