Ready? Set. Go!
On their new 7”, Australia’s Anchors race through two songs at breakneck speeds, making careful not to trip over the manic riffs and scorching solos in the process. Meanwhile, vocalist Brett is doing a solid job as well, sounding not unlike Rise Against’s Tim.
If you like fast-as-fuck technical punk rock a la Strung Out or A Wilhelm Scream, you could do a helluva lot worse than Anchors. Just a damn shame this is a 2-song 7”, one of which is new and the other one a previously unreleased track from the “Bad Juju” days, because I would’ve liked to hear more.
