Typically, a band's sophomore album lacks heart and fluidity, but Bad Cop/Bad Cop bucked this categorization with "Warriors." "Warriors" is the most punk rock album I have heard this year. Half of the content of "Warriors,” solidifies the anger and aggression of today's political climate into several tight punk rock songs. Just like NOFX's "War on Errorism," BC/BC's songwriting is biting, direct and the 'fist in the air' one may be seeking in 2017.
Furthermore, Bad Cop/Bad Cop does not just beat the listener with politics. If the political song styling is not something you are into, BC/BC have great songs about 'life on the road' and profiles of humanity similar to early career Rancid (they may still do this, but I fell off after "Indestructible").
During these trying times, this album is worth your time. Get it, play it loud and be impressed. If you don't; that's fine, I didn't think our friendship was that important anyway.
