Glasgow indie-pop band The Spook School are pleased to reveal a special Christmas treat for fans, in the form of a brand new Christmas single and the latest in their line of limited edition Christmas Calendars, featuring some truly beautiful candid shots of drummer Niall McCamley.
‘Someone to Spend Christmas With’ is released Friday 15th December 2017 via all good digital retailers and the calendar can be picked up at the band’s official Bandcamp store while stock(ing)s last.
Bass player Anna Corey commented on the track: “This is a song about figuring out how you want to conduct your own relationships when it feels like the world is full of conflicting advice about the ‘best’ way to do it, whether that be monogamy, polyamory, or something else entirely. The refrain relates to the ideal of having one important person in your life with whom you’ll always spend your special occasions. Merry Christmas from The Spook School!”
If this one doesn't get you excited for their third album, then I don't know what will. ‘Could It Be Different?’ is due for release on 26th January 2018 on Slumberland Records (US) and Alcopop! Records (UK).
