On their debut LP, ‘Another Summer,’ Portland four-piece Lazy Sunday manage to sound both deliciously jangly, energetic and sweet all at once. They refer to it as 90’s nostalgia pop-punk, which is a way better way to sum things up.

Dealing with the ‘Big firsts, big lasts, and letting go’ that come with living, ‘Another Summer’ is an album about love. And while vocalists/guitarists Rani Gupta and B Okabe already sound great on their own, it’s when they sing together that the real magic happens. Throw in classic pop-punk tempos as well as big, shiny melodies that come at you like in a dream and you are looking at an album that is great for a lazy Sunday, but works equally well any other day of the week.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
