Zebrahead has been around since 1996 and just kept on going ever since with their poppy take on punkrock. Over the years they haven’t changed their sound at all and that’s why “Call Your Friends” sounds immediately familiar… and unfortunately formulaic as fuck. Or F-U-C-K… to keep in line with how they sing it in opener “Sirens”.

The first couple of songs sounds as if they were written on automatic pilot and even when things pick up slightly when single “Call Your Friends” comes around, they never succeed in really changing things around. Fans of Zebrahead won’t mind though and will want to add this one to their collection. Personally, I think there are better pop-punk bands around who don’t sound as if they should be on life support.
