We are happy to premiere the music video for Cardboard Box Colony's new single, 'Bedtime Stories'. The song is taken off the Asheville, North Carolina based band's self-titled EP, set to release October 23rd on Stimulus Package Records.
Recorded at Clean Sheets Studios in their hometown and mastered by Jason Livermore at the famous Blasting Room the EP comes with four impassioned, heartfelt songs about growth and division over propulsive drumbeats and biting guitar mixed brilliantly together with classic punk energy.
About conceiving these songs during the pandemic, guitarist Austin Burgess writes:
“We started recording in March, but quickly made the decision to put everything on hold. When we returned to the studio, we ended up completely rewriting one of our songs with more relevant lyrics pertaining to the pandemic and current state of affairs.”
TJ Burns, the band's other guitarist, adds:
“Given the circumstances in the world, this EP was truly a labor of love and dedication. It’s short. It’s fast. It’s ill-tempered, but ultimately hopeful. It is everything we are.”
Loud, fast, and entirely relentless, Cardboard Box Colony and their self-titled EP packs the perfect punch that is certain to knock what’s left of the malaise and apathy from this year and replace it with frenzied excitement for the return of live shows and house parties.
