Get ready to scream along to The Copyrights' latest banger, 'Buried Treasure.' This infectious song is the second single from their upcoming EP, 'New Ghosts,' set to drop on October 18th.
Drummer Luke McNeill shared his thoughts on the track: "I wrote this song during COVID, which I think comes through pretty clear with the themes of isolation and cabin fever in the lyrics. I’m especially happy with the guitar tones in this song. We used really small vintage combo amps when we tracked, and I was worried the guitars wouldn’t sound 'big' since this is a pretty straightforward punk song. I’m glad I was wrong!"
The Copyrights are back with a brand-new EP, 'New Ghosts,' proof that these veterans are far from done. This release marks a triumphant return for the Illinois quartet and 'New Ghosts' is set to be a standout in their already impressive discography. Formed in 2002 in the heart of Illinois, The Copyrights have been a driving force in the pop-punk scene for over two decades. With their infectious melodies and high-energy performances, they've cultivated a dedicated fanbase and become a beloved part of the music community.
