Just so you know, The Chinchees are your new favorite power-pop trio from Minneapolis. The eleven songs that make up their self-titled album are hook-filled, garage-y ditties that sound like the Marked Men when they throw a party. Speaking of parties, the band’s mascot is a giant purple grape. Apparently something that goes back to a grape-themed party and then kinda stuck. Not sure what it means, but who cares.
What matters is that these songs are pretty damn addictive. Just like you wouldn’t expect a band to have a grape as a mascot, you never know what they will hit you with next. But you can be sure you are going to like it. Whether it’s more jangly guitars or a hook that will stick with you for the rest of the day, The Chinchees have got you covered.
