Sons & Daughters - This Gift
8.0
My mom raised a polit boy and so I always say thank you when someone offers me something. So thanks you Sons & Daughters for "This Gift". It's already this UK outfit's third album and they still sound as fresh as on 2002's "Love The Cup".
Adele Bethel still sounds sexy and distant at the same time and her voice is wrapped nicely around Scott Patterson's jagged riffs throughout all of the songs. I think their biggest strength lies in the fact that they always manage to combine the sounds from the 60s ("Chains") with a modern sound. And whether it's garage rock ("Rebel With The Ghost") or the straightforward ones like "Split Lips", these Sons & Daughters deliver time and time again.
